Originally from a two-stoplight town called
Nashville, North Carolina, Johnny Chappell became interested in
real estate at a young age. Well, actually real estate took a
back seat to his first career in local television news. After
graduating from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill
(Go Tar Heels!), Johnny worked first behind the camera, and
later in front of it, in Raleigh and Wilmington, NC. It was in
Wilmington where he bought his first house, at the age of 22.
Johnny moved to Columbia in 2003 to pursue an opportunity as a
reporter with WLTX-TV. He spent four years on the air in the
Midlands, both for News19 as first a reporter and later an
anchor, and with WVOC radio, as the morning news guy. The real
estate itch returned during his broadcasting career, and after
buying and selling a few homes in the Columbia area, Johnny took
the plunge, and joined RE/MAX Advantage Group as a Realtor in
April of 2006.
Since that time, Johnny has worked with buyers and sellers of
all ages, races, and income levels, in and around the Columbia
area, and even along the coast in Hilton Head. And while he
loves escaping to the beach, he's also grown very fond of the
Capital City, and more specifically, the people who call
Columbia their home.
